The Glencoe Historical Society has its own official sign announcing its presence in downtown Glencoe.
Revisions to the Village’s signage regulations were approved before signs denoting places of interest in the village could be installed earlier this year. David Mau and John Houde were very helpful in drafting the new regulations and making this installation of the new sign locating the presence of the Eklund History Center and Garden possible. The Society is very grateful for their assistance.
The brown and white place of interest sign is located at the intersection of Vernon and Park Avenues.

It is hoped this new sign will serve as a reminder to Glencoe residents of the location of the Historical Society in the center of the village and that it will encourage visitors to discover the Eklund History Center & Garden where they might choose to peruse materials on display, research some local history from the Society’s archives or simply spend some quiet time strolling in the lovely garden setting that the Glencoe Historical Society building occupies.
