Sit back, relax, and enjoy a Sunday pleasure drive along scenic Sheridan Road. On Sunday, April 17, 2005 from 1:00 to 4:30 PM, a bus tour, co-sponsored by the Glencoe Historical Society, will highlight the history and architecture of this notable road and sites along the way. The excursion will begin in Evanston from the Charles Gates Dawes House and wind its way to Lake Bluff before returning to Evanston. Staff from the history museums of the North Shore, who created the tour, also will be your tour guides.
The tour takes place on Sunday April 17, 2005. The coach bus departs promptly at 1:00 PM from the Evanston Historical Society (Charles Gates Dawes House), 225 Greenwood Street in Evanston. The bus will return to Evanston at approximately 4:30 PM.
The cost is $40.00 and prepaid reservations are required. Tickets may be purchased by calling the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Historical Society at 847.234.5253. The price includes light refreshments.
