GLENCOE—It’s bike hike weather and the Glencoe Historical Society will hold a bike hike throughout Taylorsport and “old” Glencoe on Sunday, May 19 from 2-4 p.m.

Join us as we travel back in time and south to the founding region of the Village, Taylorsport, named for Anson Taylor, the first white settler who brought his family here in 1835. We'll begin at the Eklund History Center, pass through downtown to Kalk Park, along Greenleaf to Harbor St., where the Taylor family established the LaPier Inn, a stop on the Green Bay Trail north. Then west to the area of the “President Streets” to look at the old churches, laundry and other sites and back to the Eklund Center.

Cost is $5 per person or family; children are welcome if they can ride; meet at the Eklund Center, 377 Park Ave. (behind 375 Park Avenue), cancelled if it’s raining.

For questions and reservations, call 847.835.0040.
